Carer with a Resident

At each of our three Care Homes, care is based around each person’s individual needs and requirements. Each Resident receives a personal plan therefore can be confident that support, care needs and personal preferences will be met. The Residents personal plan is reviewed six monthly or as required if there are any significant changes.

Twenty- four hour nursing care is delivered by highly skilled and professional staff dedicated to working in Care Homes for older persons. Link nurses are also on site at Lennox House and specialise in the following areas: continence, nutrition, tissue viability, infection control and palliative care.

GP’s visit the Care Homes as required and residents may choose to keep their own family GP, where possible. Where it is not possible the Care Home Manager will arrange for introduction to a new GP practice local to the area.

Social Care

Activities are extremely important in meeting the social care needs of older people. At each of the Care Homes there is a part time activities organiser who delivers activities based on the residents’ individual interests and needs. Fundraising events are often held and residents are encouraged to participate in preparing for and running these events where possible. We believe that realising potential is a continuing process through out life.

Meals

The menus in all three of our care homes offer a wide range of home cooked food using fresh produce. Residents’ meals are served in the dining room or in the privacy of their own rooms if they choose. Guests are welcome to join residents for meals for a small extra charge. All dietary preferences are catered for, and overseen by our Head Chefs in conjunction with Nursing Staff. Please refer to the example menu below for further details:
