Viewpoint Tenant
Viewpoint Housing Association, in partnership with Ecclesiastical Insurance, offers all tenants home contents insurance when they move into one of the association’s properties.
All insured tenants are covered by a master policy, which provides cover for £10,000 contents insurance and covers both standard and accidental damage. Although the association has buildings insurance, this does not cover any damages or breakages that occur within tenants flats and therefore we recommend that all tenants have contents insurance.
If you feel that the standard cover is not sufficient, then the policy can be increased at a cost of £4.99 per annum for each additional £1000 of cover. When away from your home, the policy also covers portable possessions (e.g. glasses or cameras of value up to £1000) whilst in the British Isles, and up to 90 days worldwide (limit of one item £750).
