Our community has a wealth of creative talent and our Craft Cafés give people a chance to socialise and be creative with friends. After the success of our first Craft Café which opened in April 2012, we unveiled a second one in 2014 at Lennox House. Generously funded by the Viewpoint Trust, with Impact Arts providing materials, staff and volunteers, the cafés are open to all our tenants and care home residents.
The cafés are safe, welcoming spaces for people to socialise and express their creativity. From painting and drawing to jewellery making and sculpture, our Craft Cafés bridge the gap between care and housing support, creating a vibrant creative space and improving social interaction.
You can read more about the work Impact Arts does on the Age Scotland blog.
The St Raphael's Café is open 3 days a week (Tues - Thurs).
The Lennox House Café is open on a Friday.
Workshops run from 10am - 4pm.
