Valuing diversity

Viewpoint Housing Association Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Statement

I am pleased to share Viewpoint Housing Association’s Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) strategy. This demonstrates our commitment to fairness, respect, equality, diversity, inclusion, and equity. But what does this mean for us as individuals and as an organisation?

At Viewpoint, we value and celebrate everyone’s differences, ensuring that inclusion is central to everything we do. We understand that a diverse team, where everyone feels they can be their authentic self, leads to greater happiness and effectiveness in the workplace. This diversity fosters creative and innovative ideas, benefiting our residents and enhancing the quality of our services. We work together to embrace our differences and celebrate our unique contributions, creating an environment where everyone can perform at their best.

Our goal is to have a workforce that reflects the diverse communities we serve. This helps us better understand and address the challenges our residents face by bringing in perspectives based on real experiences. It allows us to support them more effectively through understanding and innovative solutions.

As part of Viewpoint, we want you to feel happy, fulfilled, and enjoy your work, finding satisfaction in the positive outcomes we achieve together. For our residents and customers, we promise to treat you with respect and understanding, delivering excellent service with our utmost dedication.

We are committed to attracting, recruiting, developing, and inspiring people in a friendly, safe, and fair environment where everyone can thrive. We seek individuals who share our values and believe that our differences make us stronger. We celebrate each person’s uniqueness, experience and are dedicated to making a positive impact on our residents and communities.

Our EDI strategy is a clear statement of our commitment and our plans to continuously improve and make a difference for both our colleagues and residents. We believe that success in EDI depends on everyone’s involvement. Therefore, we encourage everyone at Viewpoint to actively participate in achieving our EDI goals and to identify actions that will help us get there.

Together, we are committed to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and high-performing community at Viewpoint Housing Association.
