From 29 May 2017 our Housing and Property Services department is changing to better support our delivery of services to tenants in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. The wider strategic environment we operate in is changing and in order to continue to provide best value we have taken the decision to separate out Property Services and Housing.
To ensure a more rigorous focus on achieving best value, Property Services will now come under the leadership of Howard Vaughan, Viewpoint’s Director of Finance, who will lead the Finance and Assets team. Howard is a Chartered Accountant with wide and varied cross sector experience in Finance and Asset Management gained over 30 years.
We are also introducing the department of People and Place, which includes housing management, tenant participation, new business and the new @HOME service. We want to give tenants more than just a home, ensuring they can access services that help them stay healthy, supported and safe. Lyn Jardine, Head of New Service Innovation, will lead this department on an interim basis until we recruit permanently to this position. Lyn is a chartered member of the Institute of Housing with over 25 years’ experience in social housing as well as significant senior level experience in Health and Social Care in local authorities.
Howard and Lyn are both members of Viewpoint’s Executive Team and are looking forward to continuing to improve the services tenant receive. We will have interviews with Lyn and Howard in our Summer Newspoint.
