Update on Lynedoch House

During a routine annual gas service at Lynedoch House in Edinburgh on Wednesday a fault was identified.

We took immediate action to shut off the gas, ensure all tenants were safe and call emergency engineers to repair the fault.

33 flats are affected and tenants were provided with temporary electric heaters on the day of the heating failure.

After discussion with Viewpoint staff all tenants elected to remain in the property.

Electric immersion heaters will be installed over the weekend which will allow hot water to be restored by Monday 4 September 2017 .

The heating system will require major works and planning consents may be required. We expect confirmation on this by Monday 4 September 2017.
At this stage we estimate the timeline for heating repairs to be three to four weeks.

We apologise to all our tenants and their families for any inconvenience caused and will continue to communicate regularly to keep them up to date with progress.
