Repairs, Voids and Emergency Callout Service Contractor

As many of you may well be aware we have over the past few months been in the process of a lengthy tendering exercise for our responsive repairs, void property repairs and emergency callout service contract. We would like to thank a number of our tenants who helped us identify the key areas that they would wish to see in the new contract.

We are pleased to advise that the process is now complete and that the new contract has been awarded to R3 Repairs Limited who are based in East Lothian.

During the tender process, our current contractor advised us that they no longer wished to participate in the process and withdrew their submission. Accordingly, they were unable to be considered for the new contract.

In light of the current circumstances surrounding COVID-19, this will present us with greater challenges around the originally anticipated start date of 1 April 2020.

Our approach over the next few weeks and months, therefore, will be to phase the transition from T.B. Mackay to R3. There will inevitably be works that were issued to T.B. Mackay before the UK and Scottish Government guidance prevented the works being completed so, we would kindly ask that you please bear with us as they work through this over the next few months.

We are delighted to inform you that we have received assurances from the owners of T.B. Mackay that given the current climate they will be more than happy to work with us and R3 to ensure the transition runs as smoothly as possible.

We are very much looking forward to working with R3 and we are sure you will join with us in welcoming them to Viewpoint. We would also like thank T.B. Mackay for their services over the last few years and wish them continued success with their own business in the future.
